FAQ’s

What is the healing process like?
Healing a tattoo is very easy and requires minimal effort.
Most tattoos I do take 4-5 days to heal, but some may take longer.

Depending on the size of the tattoo, I may apply a “second skin,” which you leave on for a few days, and you won’t need Aquaphor.

If it’s a larger tattoo, you may want to use “Aquaphor”, “Lubraderm, or other non-scented water-based lotion,” and “Liquid Dial Soap”. Here is a link to my full aftercare instructions on my website

Can I work out after getting tattooed?
I highly recommend that you do not work out for seven days after getting tattooed. Sweating is not good for your tattoo and can lighten and decrease the crispness of the tattoo. Also, gyms and yoga studios are full of bacteria that can cause staph infections in open wounds. IF YOU MUST WORKOUT, stick to light cardio and make sure to wash the tattoo after you sweat.

Can I see a drawing before I get tattooed?
I do not send out drawings before the appointment. Due to a busy schedule, it just doesn’t work for me to send out drawings to each and every client in advance. Often I finish a drawing the night before or the morning of the tattoo appointment. There will be time, if needed to make edits to the design before we tattoo it. I know this bothers some people, but it’s been working for many years, and everyone leaves happy with their new tattoo.

Can I bring a friend with me?
You can bring one other person with you to your appointment. Be sure to let them know that they will be bored out of their mind waiting for you to finish your tattoo.

What if I need a touch up?
95% of the time touch ups are not required except for hands and feet. Hands and feet often require at least one touch up. The first touch up on any tattoo is free, after that I may charge a small fee. I rarely ever need to do touch ups but I’m happy to do them because I always want your tattoo to look amazing!

Infections do occur occasionally and the shop is not liable for infections as it is due to aftercare rather then tattoo procedures. Signs of infection include but are not limited to redness, swelling, tenderness of the procedure site, red streaks going from the procedure site towards the heart, elevated body temperature, or purulent drainage form the procedure site. Should any of these symptoms occur, seek medical attention.
